Saving a tour

Do you want to save a tour for later? Or make sure that you can read the tour description offline or without internet reception? Here's how to do it:

1. search for your tour using the map or the tour search.
2. use the star symbol to save the tour in a list. The tour description and route are now also available offline.

Download maps

You often have poor internet reception in the mountains. Therefore, save map sections offline on your smartphone. This way you can track your GPS position on the map even without a network.

Note:  It is best not to load more than 12 maps onto your device at the same time, otherwise performance may suffer.

1. go to the map view, e.g. in the "Tours" section.
2. select the red map icon on the right-hand button.
3. scroll down in the map selection and tap on "Download map".
4. you will now be shown a map section. You can move it and zoom in/out. Once you have made your selection, select "Download".
5. all downloaded maps are listed in the settings under "Offline maps". You can rename them there and delete them if necessary.


 
Note: Only the map style that is currently selected will be downloaded. If you want to change the map offline, you must download the section in several map styles.


Alternative way to the offline map:
1. go to your profile in the Rother app and open the settings. In the "Storage" section, select "Offline maps" and then "Download map".
2. you will now be shown the map section again. You can move it and zoom in/out. Once you have made your selection, select "Download".



Note: Download the map section of the entire region before travelling.
